Statement of Non-liability and Disclaimer
"Our society has reached the point where I am advised that, in order to protect myself from possible lawsuits, I should include a statement of non-liability in this book. Since I believe that the human being is wholly responsible for his own actions, I strongly object to this necessity and to the morality that has spawned it. However, I would object even more strongly to being sued - so here it is."-- Carrol Smith, from Tune To Win: the Art and Science of Race Car Development and Tuning
As a human being, any action you take is of your own free will. Despite anything I say on this site, you choose to take those actions and you, not me, are responsible for the consequences of said actions. This site is a chronicle of my work on my car and my attempt to begin racing. It is not an expert guide, nor is there any guarantee that my way is the right way. If you choose to follow in my footsteps, in even the smallest way, that is your choice and risk. It should also be known that most of what I have done to my car is expensive, dangerous and fickle. Much of it will make your vehicle illegal to drive on US roads. If you choose to follow in my footsteps, know that you may void any warranty your vehicle has, brake your vehicle, kill yourself or worst of all, suffer some life long disability. Racing a car is dangerous. It is a sport who's sole purpose is to see which human can fly the line between control and disaster the best. Unfortunately, that means any failing in the driver or the machine can be very bad or even fatal. Even if you choose not to race, modifying and pushing a mechanical system to or above its specified limits is dangerous. They call engine failures "hand grenades" for a reason.
