6/17/2004 - Throttle Cable & Fuel Hookup
I worked for an hour or two tonight. My first order of business was to hookup the throttle cable. As I had previously removed all but one spot on the throttle bracket, I needed to add a spacer to the throttle bracket so it would line up with the outside throttle ring. I also needed to move the mount back so that it would put the end of the cable in the correct spot. I made a spacer out of some scrap aluminum I had. Need Oil! -- It would be tragic to forget to put oil in after all this... Just a little friendly self reminder. Next, I cut the fuel feed line that runs from the filter to the front of the rail. After much fighting with the -6 AN 90 (Earl's hose ends have a difficult to assembled design) I got it assembled, and mounted. I opted to change the routing slightly from what I selected with the engine on the stand. Last, but not least, I removed the 90 degree bend for my fuel pressure gage so that it points straight out from the regulator.
