7/25/2004, 7/27/2004 - Intercooler Piping, PS Cooler, Clutch Cover
I began working on the intercooler piping using parts of another kit I have. As it turns out, the throttle body side will be pretty simple. I have not looked at the turbo side very well yet. On day two, I drilled a large hole where the battery used to be. It is better to be lucky than to be good. After drilling the hole, I discovered that somehow I managed to get the intercooler placement exactly right relative to the throttle-body.The piping fits without trouble. I don't even have to do anything strange with the couplings. I mounted the old oil cooler from the 7M to be used as a power steering cooler. The brackets still need to be finished, but the position and basic form is there. Ivan made one of two clutch cover plates and installed it. I installed a couple small plates on the fire wall to close some of the AC/Heater holes off.
